Assignment of Responsibilities under the
Public Service Management Act 1997

Responsibility at Deputy Secretary level for leading the performance dialogue with the HSE to identify priorities across all major policy and service delivery areas and to assess performance against targets; coordinating and quality assuring governance arrangements for oversight of all agencies reporting to the Department; developing and managing Departmental corporate governance; coordination of business planning and risk management functions; providing a Programme Management Office function which equips the Department with a single system of project management techniques and reporting for all key health reform projects.
