Assignment of Responsibilities under the
Public Service Management Act 1997

The Tax Division is responsible for all aspects of tax policy, domestic and international. It works closely with the Office of the Revenue Commissioners, OECD and the EU on tax matters. It analyses policy proposals and drafts and prepares legislation, including the Finance Bill.The Finance Unit is responsible for transaction processing which is aggregated in the production of the Annual Finance Accounts and monthly Exchequer Statement and Annual Appropriation Accounts; the operation and management of the Exchequer Account and Paymaster General function, internal Financial Management and Reporting including for clients.
